5 of 5 Awesome... A must have for travelers.. Monday, December 01, 2008 JR from Miami
It's amazing and a must have for everyone...
I love the TomTom more than the Garmin C330 that I had. Locks onto the satellite right away vs the Garmin would take 5 min to do this...
PLus it is small and easy to carry. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it!!! Tuesday, November 25, 2008 Marcy from Cicero
Works great. I like that it changes your course if you take a different route than what it advices. It arrived in a timely fashion. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Value Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Harvey Kunz from Omaha,NE
I bought this refurbished navigator after using my friends Tom Tom when I visited him in Scottsdale,Arizona. This pocket-sized device is easily transported and accommodates any vehicle. My decision to purchase the device was its voice directions, allowing me to keep my eyes on the road in traffic while navigating unfamiliar roads. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 An Amazing Value Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Rick from Easthampton, MA
Pros:
GPS units with comparable features are often in the $200-250 range. You can update the maps for it online. I took this with me on my recent trip to CO and it worked 100%. A real lifesaver.
Cons:
The battery seems to die so quickly as to be unusable. I'm not sure if that is because this is a reconditioned unit or not. It still works great when plugged in. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth The Cost Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Tom from Battle Creek, Michigan
This is my first time buying a GPS, but I really enjoy using it. My family and I travel quite a bit and getting to the destinations on time and correctly is a major plus! I also like being able to enter in my own favorite places and updating the unit is as simple as connecting it to the computer and clicking a couple of buttons. Now I know why the TomTom brand is so highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 As good as it gets Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Dwayne from Baltimore, Maryland
I ordered the unit on a Wednesday night picked the free shipping and handling and it was still there on Friday. It works as expected for $50 less than I found it anywhere else. Simply put, so far I haven't gotten lost. I've had it for two weeks and everything works fine. I read other pot on here and would like the correct one or two of them, first if you go into the menu you can view the map and you can zoom out on the zoomed in map, I guess people just need to read directions it was pretty straightforward to me so I still have the manual in its sealed bag.(I think it is sealed, actually I think I threw it away) There have been a few errors on some of the directions but they were on small back roads and if you looked at the screen and didn't just listen to the voice common sense made the proper route easy to follow. (An example on one road it said to make a left and 300 yards make a right. When you made the left you came to a stop sign 50 yards later and this was the end of this road, you could make a right or left but a right was actually a private roadway for a marina and other businesses it wasn't truly a "road" so you had to make a left to actually be on a public road and about 250 yards later you made the first right. Just common sense and paying attention to the screen and your surroundings. It showed the right route on the screen, it just didn't show the service road to the right.) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent value and good support Friday, November 07, 2008 Moose from Auburn, WA
Very easy to use out of the box. I had very good customer support from Tom Tom. I had a problem while trying to update maps. It ended up having the device formatted while working with customer support. I worked with them and got the latest program and maps and it has worked very well since. Rebate came also. If we didn't get it going they were going to have me send it in. Worked well in Canada also. On a long trip be sure to review the route. It sometimes picks routes that are not what you would expect if you know the area. Overall is very good. Battery life is only 2hrs if you want to use it in walk around mode. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Love this GPS Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Scott from Spring Hill, FL
As I am a service technician, I have used several GPS's. What got me interested in the tomtom is when I had a PDA with the software on it. I got one of these a while ago for over $150 and love it so much, I ordered this one for my wifr for Christmas. It's very easy to use and has been reasonably accurate considering the area I live in seems to constantly change. That's okay also, because with mapshare you can edit your maps, or download other people's edits. This is a super value at this price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great GPS for the money Saturday, October 18, 2008 Todd from Rogersville, TN
Bought this after borrowing both a Garmin and a Magellan from friends. While I liked a couple of features from both of the others better, overall, I like the TomTom better. Fairly intuitive to use, as I've made a couple of 300+ mile trips with it and haven't used the manual yet. More features with this unit than with the Garmin or Magellan I'd borrowed, although both of those units were admittedly basic. I'd recommend this purchase for anybody looking for just over basic functionality for a good price. One safety feature I liked was the ability to set an "alarm" if you exceed a given speed. On interstates, the unit was fairly accurate at knowing the posted speed limit. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Third time charm? Monday, October 13, 2008 Don Arner from Portland, OR
Just sent back my second TomTom ONE third edition for repair. I can't get any to stay on longer than the second charge. I'm getting tired of paying the freight and no one can tell me what to do differently. We'll see what happens with the third unit.

5 of 5 Good Value Thursday, October 09, 2008 A Customer from Eclectic, AL
This is the second TomTom One I have bought from Buy.com, and the third GPS. The product arrived in two days with budget shipping. Package included all paperwork and accessories. The unit looks new. The performance is fine, lacking only the spoken street name when giving directions. In my experience, the GPS units made by other manufacturers are confused by roads in my neighborhood, trying to direct you down routes that have been closed or rerouted for five years or more. This TomTom gives the correct routing. I recommend this unit to anyone looking for a good value in a GPS. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product and Service............. Wednesday, October 08, 2008 Kevin L. Sampson from Spanaway Wa.
Just would like to say overall the product is in great condition it comes with everything you said it would, accept for the cd rom with map updates and tomtom homesoftware, other than that it worked fine. I think theres no cd rom because the unit is refurbished and it already has the us and canada maps preloaded on the unit itself. Also if you try to update mapshare on the thing even if you already have an existing account with tomtom home it will not let you, because it say's the unit has already been registered with the site before and can no longer be registered again. Still a good product and would suggest to anyone out there looking for a good product at the right price.... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Monday, October 06, 2008 A Customer from Sence, SC
I bought this as a replacement for my old Tom Tom Go. I liked my old unit except it has screen glare, and could not be seen with sunglasses on. This new unit has none of those problems. The audio, GPS function and display are much better. Calculating the route takes some time, probably from a slow processor. The unit is otherwise perfect. Tom Tom web site is very easy to use. It automatically updates the unit to the latest operating system. It will also update to the latest maps if you just purchased the unit.
This is a refurbished unit but it works like new and has a new unit warrany. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Has everything you need for a great price Thursday, October 02, 2008 Carrie from Duluth, GA
This has every basic feature you need. Day and night colors, volume adjustment, shows time of arrival, it has clear picture and sound and it even shows you your speed. Sometimes it will take you the long way around, but it will always get you where you need to go. Very impressed! I will use this one until it stops working! :o) Was this review helpful?
