This is a great toy, and a nice introduction to robotics for an elementary school kid (my daughter) who likes robotics. I would have bought an Aibo, but money doesn't grow on trees, y'know.
I concur with leci from Arlington, VA, though: This was advertised as new, but the unit was clearly repackaged.
It also has some balance problems (a manuafacturing defect, according to WoWee) that did not become apparent until after the 14-days-from-ship-date return cutoff. The robot is unable to walk in a straight line, instead making a wide circle (about 8 feet in diameter). Nothing that makes the toy unusable, but frustrating, nonetheless. At this point (19 days after shipping), neither WoWee nor Buy.com will take it back for an exchange or repair. Was this review helpful?

This is most definitely one of the coolest toys I have ever bought my son. He is 5 and has not stopped playing with it now it's been about 3 weeks. Fun for everyone in the family, even the cat likes it. Easy to learn how to use also. Fun right out of the box.

this robot was very entertaining. however, the thing i just don't like about is i thought when i bought it from buy.com it's gonna be a new one. The one that they send me is not new like you can see traces/marks that it's been used already which is disappointing. Was this review helpful?
