I ordered 5 of these TVs as I am going to use them for a sports pub I will be opening in the near future. All of them work great, the picture is fantastic and the TVs look very nice. One of them is missing its power cord and remote, I am not sure what to do about this yet but all in all this was a great deal. Was this review helpful?

This is a good TV--and I am happy with the impressive picture quality and color depiction for this relatively "simple" model in this price range. It is also very nice looking as a piece of furniture.
However, I'd like to warn any potential customer that the unit spends a lot of electricity; my power consuption went up quite significantly upon switching from a 42" LCD to this one. For one thing, the unit gets VERY HOT after leaving it on for a few minutes--I suppose heat is a necessary biproduct of plasma TVs... While this may be a common plasma TV problem, I can see how one may choose to stick with LCD TVs (or wait for some new technology to emerge), not only to save on power bills but also to be eco-friendly.
Still, it is a good TV--in fact excellent for the price. Was this review helpful?

Be careful with this TV as, contrary to an earlier review, DirecTV and many other digital cable signals are broadcasting in 1080i and soon to be 1080p formats. This TV is technically obsolete as it can display up to 720p only. Was this review helpful?

This TV is just great! I had first ordered the Panasonic TH-50PZ77U but when I looked at the picture quality of this Samsung at various local stores, it was clear which was the better.
I also bought the Samsung ht-wx70 1200 w home theater and it works great with the TV. I have Dish HD package and some channels look better than regular DVDs.
Pros - Really high quality picture, multiple inputs and outputs, elegant looking, energy star complaint, anti glare that doesn't negatively affect picture brightness, user friendly menus, lots of configuration options.
Cons - Nothing that I have noticed.
One thing to remember when buying HD TVs is that if you are only going to watch HD TV channels and some DVDs, there is no need for 1080p TVs. The HD TV is broadcast in 720p only. The DVDs are 480p . The BlueRay movies will be full 1080p, so if you plan on mainly watching BlueRay movies, get a 1080p TV. Was this review helpful?

I bought this plasma Tv about 3 months ago it is all that I wanted and more. If you want to pay for LCD than do so but for the price of Plasma and the new Tech. that is in Tv's now a days it was a smart buy in my book.
